Happy 2016, everyone! Hope you celebrated in style. Over here, we kept it cozy and tricked a friend into coming by to play strategy board games and admire our cats. Between sips of Prosecco and watching Kathy Griffin humiliate and straight up assault Anderson Cooper with self tanner on CNN, we also stopped to check in on my New Year, New You poll results. It was an exciting race, you guys, with two titles neck-and-neck for nearly the entire voting period, but one did eke ahead by a hair and so I’m pleased to announce that my first book of 2016 will be…
The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo!
The runner-up with one fewer vote was The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F*ck by Sarah Knight. This was such a popular choice, I’ll plan to read it, anyway. Selp Helf by Miranda Sings had a strong showing with 20% of the vote, and How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie brought up the rear with a single vote (sorry, Dale!).
Thanks for voting and see you back here in a few days for my very first review of 2016.
